Process overview
What this process does.
Slitting is a longitudinal coil-processing operation in which a wide master coil passes through circular knives and is divided into narrower strips before being recoiled.
Process suitability and any specification not published on this page are confirmed against the submitted material and required output.
Documented equipmentOperating sequence
From master coil to controlled slit output.
A stage-by-stage view of the documented equipment and the technical information needed to confirm the service scope.
The slitting line combines material positioning, tension control, longitudinal cutting and recoiling in one connected operation. Each stage supports stable strip movement while the master coil is converted into narrower widths.
The supplied line documentation identifies dedicated systems for coil loading, shaft support, scrap handling, knife and spacer changes, speed coordination and controlled output winding.
Published scope only. Final suitability follows technical review.
Load and support
A coil car supports loading at the line, while the hydraulic support arm holds the decoiler shaft end.
Control strip tension
The belt bridle system supports tension control for colour-coated and surface-sensitive material.
Slit and manage scrap
The exchange stand supports knife and spacer setup, with automatic scrap winding on both sides of the line.
Recoil the output
The recoiler uses build tension to support tight, controlled winding of the processed strips.
